Weekly Challenge #85 (5-11/5-17

Spring is a time of birth and rebirth. It’s a time to sweep out the old and put fresh coats of paint on walls, beat the dust out of the rugs, put the old clothes away and so forth.

This week’s challenge will be a new beginning for an old layout. Your assignment for this week is to take an old layout that you do not like or that needs a little tweaking and revamp it!

Here is the layout that I wanted to redo:

Here is my new layout:

I deleted two photos, kept the main one and added a new one. On the first layout I made a large percentage of the items there and I knew it didn't mesh well but I was new to digi scrapping. I like this new layout soooo much better.

You may:
Use a totally different kit
delete photos
change journaling and title

You may not:
Add more than one photo not included in the original layout
Delete all photos

You will need to post both the old layout and the new layout in this thread. If the old layout is here in the Mousescrappers gallery, you do not have to reload it. Just put the image code in the thread alongside the new layout.

As always your layout must be-
* Disney related
And has to be
* Posted in the weekly challenge gallery
* Posted in this thread along with a link to where it is featured in the forums (example: Marie will be posted in Character Encounters)
*Make sure you put your credits for your layout in the gallery. If you use a template make sure you credit the designer also ( I usually forget that step!)

I hope this will be a brain tickler challenge. It tickled mine and made me think. With all of the other challenges going on here at Mousescrappers, You may post your layout whenever you get it done.

I almost forgot. This is what you are playing for. It's just a small collection of odds and ends.

I know a few lay outs that can use a make over. But would I have enough time this week to complete all of these challenges and keep up my school work.

The original page was done for Speedscrap 50 (my first speed scrap)

This is the new one

I tried to keep most of the same elements and the same kit. But the second time I used a template. The biggest change is the shadowing. The one's I did the first time were amplified when I reduced the size of the layout to be able to upload it. The second time, they were mostly built into the template, or I used much smaller ones. I'm much happier with the layering of the rectangles, but I sort of wish the photos were larger. I did make them a little larger than the original template, but I didn't want to throw the balance off too much.
