Yep... in SBC+ it is the shapes in the cut and fill ribbon. In the PS/PSE world they are called 'cookie cutters' which I think is cute lol!! Be sure to check out some of the tuts at pixels2pages if you get time.... theres ones about making rubber stamp images, and inking, and tearing papers.... if you haven't checked it out... you'll be amazed at everything SBC+ can do!!

I am just AMAZED at the LOs already I was afraid you'd all be running for the hills!! I love all the 'embellishments' I've seen ... I think we have some budding designers about!!!

Great challenge! I confess I am a self taught digi scrapper. There is so much more the program will do, I just need to experiment and see.

So thanks for pushing me to learn

This one will definitely be a challenge, but worth it! I love learning new things/techniques.

Great challenge Paula!

I used Craft Artist (the upgrade to Serif's Digital Scrapbook Artist that I just downloaded this AM). I used text on a shape, punches for the flowers and leaves, edge effect with color outline, brushes (the rope), metallic and glass effects for the lettering and the hearts, and the usual straight cuts with scissors.

Great challenge, I played around with different functions, I'd used most of them before but not in a long time. I think I need to update to v9 though. Love that 3D stuff.

Ok, I copped out and went the easy route. I made 2 other LOs that were a lot more involved and I hated them. (A globe using BAS Relief and one with a reflection that just looked like all I was doing was doing it for the effect and not because it looked good.) But to compensate for going easy, I did it in 2 different programs.

PSE9:

I used 2 papers but one of them is the frame.
I used the bevels effect to make it 3D.

DSA2:

Again, 2 papers, but one is the frame
This time I used the Emboss FX feature

It's a lot easier to do in PSE.

And they're posted here:

AWESOME CHALLENGE!!! I am loving everyone's take on it!!! I hope I can squeeze some free time this weekend to work on it, dd has a basketball tournament tomorrow most of the day and her 13th bday is Sunday. Maybe on Monday I just got PSE9 right after it came out, but just installed it after Christmas after I got my new computer, need to learn how to do a lot of this cool stuff. Thanks for hosting a great challenge!!!

Thanks for a fun challenge. It was a hard challenge but was fun to stretch my skills!

The paper I used is from Britt's The Bright Side. I made the frame, staples, and beads using the shape tool and then used the Wow Neon effects on them in different colors. I made the title using a Kim Possible logo. I selected the letters and used them to cut the title out of the green background paper in Britt's kit.

It's nothing fancy, but it was fun! Thanks!

This was a great challenge. I used the shape tool for the arrow, "stitches", and film frames. I blended my photo into the background paper, too.
