Weekly Challenge #85 (5-11/5-17
 

Spring is a time of birth and rebirth. It’s a time to sweep out the old and put fresh coats of paint on walls, beat the dust out of the rugs, put the old clothes away and so forth.

This week’s challenge will be a new beginning for an old layout. Your assignment for this week is to take an old layout that you do not like or that needs a little tweaking and revamp it!

I deleted two photos, kept the main one and added a new one. On the first layout I made a large percentage of the items there and I knew it didn't mesh well but I was new to digi scrapping. I like this new layout soooo much better.

You may:
Use a totally different kit
delete photos
change journaling and title

You may not:
Add more than one photo not included in the original layout
Delete all photos

You will need to post both the old layout and the new layout in this thread. If the old layout is here in the Mousescrappers gallery, you do not have to reload it. Just put the image code in the thread alongside the new layout.

As always your layout must be-
* Disney related
And has to be
* Posted in the weekly challenge gallery
* Posted in this thread along with a link to where it is featured in the forums (example: Marie will be posted in Character Encounters)
*Make sure you put your credits for your layout in the gallery. If you use a template make sure you credit the designer also ( I usually forget that step!)

I hope this will be a brain tickler challenge. It tickled mine and made me think. With all of the other challenges going on here at Mousescrappers, You may post your layout whenever you get it done.

I love this idea. Gotta think which I need to redo...revamp..needs a facelift!

I know a few lay outs that can use a make over. But would I have enough time this week to complete all of these challenges and keep up my school work.

I tried to keep most of the same elements and the same kit. But the second time I used a template. The biggest change is the shadowing. The one's I did the first time were amplified when I reduced the size of the layout to be able to upload it. The second time, they were mostly built into the template, or I used much smaller ones. I'm much happier with the layering of the rectangles, but I sort of wish the photos were larger. I did make them a little larger than the original template, but I didn't want to throw the balance off too much.

This was my first challenge at Mousescrappers and my 2nd digital scrapbook layout. I added some shadows, more elements and changed the title around. I changed the font a little and corrected my typo too!

This was certainly a challenge for me. I started redoing one layout and then gave up and changed to another. I started digital scrapping in 2000 before I even knew what shadows were and the only elements I had to work with were scanned stickers, so I had some pretty bad layouts to choose from, plus they were all done in 8.5x11...

Here is the one I choose to redo from 2003:

I added one new picture, changed to the 12x12 format, but kept the 2 page spread. I don't love the new layout, but it is growing on me. :)

Hello everyone! I had to wait until I got to work to have computer access since mine died Friday night. I will have to make another prize sooooo....as soon as I can get something made I will send out an extra prize since you all might have to wait a week or so.

Thanks for hosting, and I hope your computer problems can get sorted out! I've actually been sitting on this page for about a month, trying to decide whether or not to redo it for printing, since at the very least it had to be resaved. Thanks for the push to redo it - I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

Thank you for the great challenge! I'm pretty new to digiscrapbooking, and I don't have many layouts to choose from so this was kind of hard for me! :) I loved this LO, but it wasn't flowing with the rest of my trip album, so I decided to use a new kit with it. I like how it turned out.

I wasn't thrilled with how the first layout turned out. I played and played with many variations for this challenge. I think I still need to play with it...but I was running out of time!

Weekly challenge #85
 

Decided to "re-do" my previous 2 page LO as a one page LO for this weekly challenge #85. I used the following: KellyBell word art, DDBN Dreamin' kit, Milk & Cereal font, Britt-ish designs embellishment (airplane), agrievingmommy's mask.
The journaling : We left from DIA on May 2, 2010. It was Alekz's 1st time flying and Sissy's 3rd time. You both were so excited ! We brought along your iPods and NintendoDS, but all you wanted to do was talk about what we were going to do once we got to Florida. Dad was wondering if you would ever quiet down and nap!

We had blue skies when we left Denver, but we got to see some spectacular lightening shows as our flight carried on into the night. It was past 11:00pm before we landed in Orlando. And Alekz finally fell asleep!

Thank you everyone for being so patient with me and my computer problems. I am taking it to the doctor today and he will see if he can fix it. I will redo the PP this weekend or next week when I get either a new computer or get this one fixed. Love the pages and I love how creative you all are in redoing the layouts.
