Weekly Challenge #228 (3/26-4/1)
There was no one signed up to host this week so I thought I'd jump in!
This week's challenge is all about using a pop of unexpected color. I was working on this Cabanas page and was using the blue, green, and orange and just kept thinking it needed 'something' else. I thought it may need a different color as a pop and I thought I'd sample the coral color in one of the photos. I loved the result - the unexpected pop of rosy pink on the ocean inspired page really makes everything more vibrant I think! So, create a page using any theme you want, but add an unexpected pop of color. Try so teal with your red, white, and black page (trust me, it looks awesome!) or some pink on your ocean color page! But make it an unexpected color or a color you wouldn't automatically think to use on that page. I want to be able to see what your 'pop' color is! Here is mine: I'll chose a random winner from all participants to receive a gift certificate to their favorite scrap store! |

weekly challenge
This is the inspiration I needed. I have been working on my Downtown Disney page for several months but it was too busy and didn't stand out. I was trying to use colors that blended with the pics when I needed to get a bright color in there. It made all the difference in the world. Thank you so much for the challenge and great idea. also posted http://www.mousescrappers.com/forums...873#post145873 |

I've been trying to scrap these photos for a few weeks to go with another page I scrapped but could never get the the green colour scheme to work enough for my liking but a pop of burnt orange along with the green and neutrals worked perfectly. So thanks so much for the challenge!
