Hi Nancy!
Did you use the template or create the shapes/layers yourself? This template I know doesn't have any jagged edges- and ideally templates you're using/buying should be jagged edge-free, but rarely you'll find one with rough edges. If you made the shapes yourself- make sure your file is set to 12x12" with 300 DPI. If its less than that you're likely to lose quality and see jags. Also- PS and PSE are not ideal for shapes/layers. Usually I'll do that work in like illustrator, which is head and shoulders better for that type of work. Hope this makes sense!

Welcome!
Welcome to MouseScrappers! You mentioned "jaggy edges". What jagged edges are those? If you made the layout, don't forget to post in this thread. I'll go take a look-see to see if it is in your gallery!!
Again.. welcome. And don't be afraid to ask questions. Everyone here is just so nice and helpful!! Quote:

Thanks for playing!
Thanks, Kristen. I rarely do much journaling directly on my pages. I suppose I should try harder to do that.. and this template surely does lend itself towards journaling! That was a special day to be sure.
You should get my hubby to tell you about when I first me Prince Charming! The Prince came up behind me, touched my shoulder, I turned.. and just died. I was so taken aback!! Yes.. I ended up blubbering all over myself. Seems I spend lots of time crying at Disney! LOL. DH was just so very amused!! |

Thank You Kristen and ScrappyCoyote for your help. I just used the magic wand to select the frame; when I magnified it larger it had a big jagged edge around it. I strightened it; but I can still see a small jagged edge. This was on TC #168. That was my first ever try at using a template. I barely can us PS and I have no idea what an illustrator is. I get stuff in my email but figured it was too complicated for me. When you say make sure it's set at 12x12 do you mean I should enlarge the shape before I select it and cut it bigger; then shrink it back down to the right size. I don't have PS on and can't remember what you call that thingy you streach with. Do you think that would work. Well it's probably just me. But I'm going to keep trying. Your help is much appreciated; if you have time to look at my LO and see if you see it on the frame it's at this spot:

A couple of things...
Nancy..
I use Photoshop Elements, which is very similar to PS to the best of my knowledge. When you bring in a template, you can check the image size: Image/Resize/Image Size and you will see the existing size It should say 12 inches x 12 inches 300 resolution (or possible 3600 pixels by 3600 pixels) That is standard sizing for digital scrapping. (You reduce that to 600 x 600 for the web.) I pulled Template #168 in to see what you are talking about. And yes.. I see some jaggy edges around the frame when viewed at Fit to screen. Try selecting View/Actual Pixels or even View/Print Size. You no longer will see those "jaggy edges". For simplicity sake, just know that if you are viewing a tilted frame at Fit to Screen.. you more often than not will see jaggy edges. They are fine when you view full size though.. no need to go in and straighten things. The only thing I saw on full size view was softness around the Mickey Heads around the border. If you printed a layout with this template, you would see that, yes. The frame - no jaggies. Without getting too techy, I hope this helps you out some. Laramie Quote:
