We just returned from WDW late last night - hot dry weather. Flew thru the worst weather on our plane trip home. Tornados & thunder storms all around us.
Tighten your seat belts and hang on, the Captain just kept repeating. Up & down, right to left, we moved in our seats with children crying - it was awful.
We were changing course it seemed every few minutes, the Captain kept us well informed.
Finally, we were diverted to the West, to avoid more storms and lightening.
Only to come upon a tornado in the Minneapolis area. Eleven hours after we left the Happiest Place on Earth, we arrived at our home airport. Normally this trip is a quick 2.5 to 3 hour flight.
