I can host for europe time ( GMT +1 Paris time) but I need to know what the host have to do, I'm a newbie so I want to help, I just hope I am able to do it ...:blush:

I think a lot of people will be gone or on vacation during that time, since that is a MAJOR holiday weekend for us in the States.

Oh shoot! I'll be in WI visiting my kids and won't have access to scrapbooking software! :( That sounds like it would be alot of fun! I'll be gone for 3 weeks - think I'll be going thru MAJOR withdrawal!!!:lol2::lol2:

I don't know my plans yet, and may not for a while. But my guess is that with the kids at camp, my DH & I may go away for the weekend.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Perhaps it would be better to schedule this for a weekend that isn't so busy. Carol felt that you might all be busy on the 4th which is why we opened up the saturday as well but if lots of you will be away for the weekend perhaps a rethink is in order. Keep your comments coming and we will see what we can come up with!

If this goes ahead would you be able to host at 3pm GMT (4pm your time) on Saturday 3rd?

Hosting a speedscrap is great fun and there isn't too much involved.

All you need to do is come up with 7 layout instuctions for our speed scrappers to follow. These are posted following these guidelines
Speed Scrap Guidelines

There will be 7 instructions in total.
The first will be posted on the hour.
The second at ten past.
Third at twenty past.
Fourth at half past.
Fifth at twenty to.
Sixth at ten to.
The final instruction on the close of the hour.
Then you will have 4 hours to finish your layout and post to the gallery and relevant thread to claim your prize.
If you join late don’t worry that you missed the start you can still play just get follow the rules for your layout and get it uploaded before the deadline.

The host gives away a participation prize as well. This can be anything, a template, wordart, alpha, minikit etc. But please don't let the prize requirement put you off if you would like to host let me know and I can help source a prize if needed.
