Thanks for posting this, Linda. It's funny, a friend sent me a one-line email today at 2pm... "did you hear the news?" i hadnt, but took one look at Facebook and noticed it was already on fire with comments.

Ironically, I am not quite sure how I feel about this yet. Obviously I am a fan of both. We'll just have to wait and see how this shakes out

It was front page news in the Washington Post this morning. Must've been a slow day for the Redskins...

(that was a totally inside joke. The Post LOVES the Redskins so much that they always find some way to have them on the front page every single day of the year. It's downright disgusting.)

I'm SO excited, I hope this means they'll integrate SW even more at the parks. Maybe expand SWW, add a Star Wars land to DHS, who knows! One of the first things I thought of was how R2-MK wasn't at SWW this year, and they said it was some kind of contract thing, that they have to renew it each year, and sometimes they can't always come back (Mace Windu also wasn't there this year for the same reason.) Now, I'm guessing that won't happen again. ;)

Jan-That sounds like the Philly media and the Eagles, I always used to joke that they would report what the third string QB ate for lunch over anything else, lol.

Interesting news...

Look out for:
Song of the Sith
Snow White and the Seven Droids...

;)

Seriously though, I'm with Carol. Will wait and see how this shakes out.

I must confess I am more excited to see what Disney does with the Indiana Jones franchise (as that is also part of Lucasfilm).....

Me too ;) And let me tell you this: if Disney sets up some new attractions in Disneyworld, I will be the first one coming over to the U.S. FOR EVER!! Because I love it all so much! :D I am really curious what will happen next ;)

I'm cautiously optimistic. The mouse house bought Marvel and has done a great job developing those properties, so let's hope they can repeat that success with Star Wars! Worse case scenario you get three more Star Wars movies to ignore...
