Weekly Challenge #100

Whooo Hooo! We are on Weekly Challenge #100!! Can you believe it?!?

In honor of the 100th Weekly Challenge I wanted to do a little recap of the awesome challenges that came before, sooo...

Your Challenge is to go back through the 99 previous weekly challenges and pick one to do that you haven't done before! So if you joined after the challenges started or if there were just a few weeks where you didn't have the time, supplies, knowledge, or pics to complete them, now is your chance! I don't think there is anyone who has done every challenge, so there should be plenty of opportunity to find a weekly challenge you haven't completed before.

To make it all official, here is what you need to do:
1. Choose a weekly challenge that you haven't completed before and complete it using the original hostess' requirements (I will be checking, so don't double dip!)
2. In your post in this thread you need to copy and paste the challenge # you are completing as well as the original instructions so we can all see!
3. Post a link to your layout in the weekly challenge Gallery
4. Post a link to the forum thread where your page goes.

Here is the page I did and the challenge I used so you have an example:

http://www.mousescrappers.com/photos...sion_small.jpg

Weekly Challenge #94 by PrincessMouse
1. Choose pictures you've been putting off scrapping. It can be because they're so fabulous you didn't want to mess them up or they're needed but ugh, not what you want to work on. If you don't have any pictures like that, it's time for picture-less layout!

2. Journal. I know many don't like it, but we're gonna do it.

3. Use one thing from a kit or other purchase that you haven't used yet. You know, the ones you've been putting off

Makes sense, right?!?
For participating, you will receive this AWESOME silhouette set so generously donated by Britt. In the words of Stacey - this is a serious Disney Must Do for your stash!

http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...uettes_600.jpg

And remember, you won't be eligible to receive the original weekly challenge prize for the challenge you chose, but getting this amazing prize from Britt makes up for it I think

It's almost time for vacation for me, so you challenge needs to be uploaded and completed by 7am PT on Wednesday the 7th to get the participation prize. I will sending out prizes immediately after that.

Can't wait to see what challenges you chose!

tw1717 - EEYORE FAN 08-31-2011 06:58 AM

Totally wicked PP gift! I am fairly new to mousescrappers and have only done 2 challenges so picking one was not hard until I read some of the pics I had to find....

So I chose to do challenge #96 (original instructions are:
Original Challenge rules:
Hi there everyone! Thanks for joining me for this weeks challenge. Since we are in the height of summer and everyone’s gardens are booming with flowers, fruits and veggies, I have decided to make this weeks challenge about nature. So this week I want to see your photos about the plants and animals you see while on your vacation in Disney. It can be anything from the beautiful plants around your resort to the ducks you can see at DHS while waiting for the friendship boats.

Challenge #96
Things I would love to see in your pages this week:
1. 5 photos or more.
2. Lots of flowers, plants or animal elements.
3. Use at least 2 words for your title.
4. Throw in a couple of paper strips and a frame.
5. Last but not least try to sneak in a hidden mickey if you can.

Here is my layout:

OOOO - since I just discovered this place last month, I have oodles to choose from - this will be fun & GREAT prizes to shoot for - thanks girls!
So - I went with the very first challenge - #1
Remember that your layout must be Disney related somehow... parks, costumes, cakes, toys, whatever.

H - is for Happy of course, scrap a happy moment
A - is for Angles, lets see some angles on your page, not the usual squares and rectangles!
P - is for Pictures.... at least 3 of them!
P - is for Pinocchio - he told tales... lets see some journaling!
Y - is for Yellow. It is such a happy color, lets see it somewhere on your page!

And here it is:

I chose Weekly Challenge #85 hosted by Sparklehal

Spring is a time of birth and rebirth. It’s a time to sweep out the old and put fresh coats of paint on walls, beat the dust out of the rugs, put the old clothes away and so forth.

This week’s challenge will be a new beginning for an old layout. Your assignment for this week is to take an old layout that you do not like or that needs a little tweaking and revamp it!

I deleted two photos, kept the main one and added a new one. On the first layout I made a large percentage of the items there and I knew it didn't mesh well but I was new to digi scrapping. I like this new layout soooo much better.

You may:
Use a totally different kit
delete photos
change journaling and title

You may not:
Add more than one photo not included in the original layout
Delete all photos

You will need to post both the old layout and the new layout in this thread. If the old layout is here in the Mousescrappers gallery, you do not have to reload it. Just put the image code in the thread alongside the new layout.

My old layout:

And thank you to Britt for the awesome PP!

I went back in time to challenge #5:

This will be a color challenge. I don't want to restrict to just using Halloween photos but I would love to see some Halloween Time layouts! You also need to have a "hidden" (can be not so hidden) mickey and your page must be Disney related.

So simply pull your colors from this picture (orange, yellow, redish brown, browns, black) - basically the sign portion of the photo. Feel free to add in some white as well, if needed.

What fun! I can't wait to go to Disneyland next week and see it all done up for Halloween.

What a great challenge, thanks for hosting! Thanks, Britt, for the awesome PP! It is awesome!

I chose challenge #63
Here are the instructions:
White. Use a white background for your page. You can layer other colored papers on top if you want, but I want to see a white colored background.
Alphas. I want to see at least TWO different alphas on your page. Mix & match, or alternate letters. Whatever you do, use two alphas or more.
Line it up. I want to see at least three buttons or brads in a row somewhere on your page.
Tell the story! I want to see some serious journaling (at least 4 or 5 lines if not more!).

And here's my page

tw1717_Eyore Fan: Great job using the QuickPage and making it your own by adding all of those great flowers. Fun challenge, I almost chose that one to!

Saar: Awesome job on the challenge! Your first page was great but I love the redo.

inkspots: you did a great job with the color palate of the original challenge. it is fall-y and halloween-y without it taking the focus off your lovely photos.

hollyanne21: sooo cute! you picked a great challenge to do - love the mix of alphas and the three buttons in a row. The black and white buttons you chose for this are perfect!!

I chose Weekly Challenge #82 (4/20-4/26) Hosted by Lyn
• Everyone has a favorite character, so show me your favorite character
• Use as many photos as you want
• Use at least 4 patterned papers and at least 1 solid
• Add some word strips
• Add a title, either a word art or your own using an alpha
• Add your finishing touches, journaling & date, if you want and of course a hidden Mickey

mcclane 08-31-2011 04:59 PM

I did Weekly Challenge #68 by CarmenF (it wasn't very difficult, but I like the simplicity of the page):

1. Since it is Winter I want there to be a lot of WHITE showing. That is going to be a lot of blank space.
2. You can only use 1 Picture.
3. You can only use 2 pieces of paper, and of course one of the has to be white. haha
4. The only other thing on the page should be your title. You can use a font or alpha, but it has to be smaller than the photo. You can add a few elements to the title, but they have to look like part of it.

-Frame or mat your photos in some way.

-Put a Mickey on there!
-Upload your layout to the Mousescrappers Gallery so we can leave some love, and post it in the correct thread in the forum.

What a fun challenge Andrea - thanks! And a big thanks to Britt for the fabulous PP!

I chose Weekly #12 (12/2-8/2009)

Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901. If he were alive today he’d be celebrating his 108th birthday this week. My original idea was to have you use a combination of 108 papers and elements on your layout, but that seemed a little excessive.

So instead these are the rules:
Use exactly 12 elements, 5 papers, and 1 photo (12/5/01)
Add a quote from Walt Disney
In addition to the quote from Walt, your layout must be Disney related in some other way too

Thanks for being host and the great PP.

Hpgirl 09-01-2011 09:27 AM

Thanks for hosting, Andrea, and thanks for the awesome pp, Britt!

I chose challenge 40:

1 - use 4 or more papers
2 - use 1 alpha and 1 *new* font (a font you have never used before)
3 - Must be Disney related!
4 - one hidden mickey
5 - an odd number of photos
6 - 3 or more staples/fasteners
7 - 3 or more strings/ribbons/ricrac
8 - post your layout in the Mouse Scrappers gallery and link it to this thread and into the corresponding thread, ie if your layout is about the Tea Cups it would be in Magic Kingdom > Fantasyland > Tea Cups thread.

My new font is Airplanes in the Night Sky.

Since it's the 100th challenge, I decided to go big and make a two-pager (I've been saving these pictures for a while):

Wow, this was so fun to pick any challenge!! I adore the PP!!

I picked #77. So the challenge is to clean up your scrap stuff a bit so you can make a scrapbook page using items from at least 4 different designers/kits. (No growling or complaining!) It's good to get organized and be able to find that staple when you want it or a certain bling to add to your page!

The designers are:
J BInder - Alpha -- English Garden
Starlight Designs - Paradise Tea- grass, trees, houses, welcome sign with light, sparkles
Olgar Unger - Underwater World- Background used as an overlay-
Wee Faerie -Mouse Tales- Flowers, wheel barrow with flowers, cloud in front of whales mouth, Sign - colors altered.

The extraction is my little DGD with the Fairy Godmother.
