See you Thursday night!!!! :hooray:

We'll meet in the chat room here: http://client14.addonchat.com/chat.php?id=474111

Thanks to all of you who joined us for the chat!!! We had an awesome time. You can read the tutorial here on my blog.

Now for the challenge!
The challenge is to use a coloring book image on your page. You can color it in, use the outline, or make a sillhouette! You can use your own or you can use the ones from the minikit above that was for the chat.
You have one week! So the challenge will run from April 28 - May 5th!!!

The Mega Prize Package is a set of 100 coloring page images already extracted and ready for you to use :)

I will be in Disneyland this next week so please allow me time to mail out the Prize Packages and to respond to any emails/questions! You can contact me at agrievingmommy@yahoo.com.

Sounds really exciting but the chat is at 2.30am UK time which, with the kids, is WAY past my bedtime! I would love it if you could share some of your tips on your blog or facebook page!

Got it! And installed the action in my PS, works great, couldn't wait to play with it LOL! Looking forward to know some of your coloring tips!!!

Thanks so much for sharing Denise!

cmtscrap 04-28-2011 08:25 PM

Thanks Denise. Had a great time on the chat and I learned something new. I figured how to do the coloring in StoryBook Creator and will post the instructions when I get them written up. It probably won't be until over the weekend since I have two huge deadlines at work tomorrow.

My pages that use Coloring Book images:

http://www.mousescrappers.com/photos..._denisetys.jpg
I colored the Alice, Mad Hatter and White Rabbit on this one.

http://www.mousescrappers.com/photos...land_goofy.jpg
I used scribbles to make a clipping mask on the outline of Goofy on this one.

http://www.mousescrappers.com/photos.../monorail1.jpg
I used a paint smear to color in the monorail outline on this one.

http://www.mousescrappers.com/photos...ys_mickey1.jpg
I used a coloring book image of Mickey to create a sillhouette on this one.

jennifer9948 04-28-2011 08:53 PM

Thanks for posting the tutorial Denise. I really want to participate in this challenge.

Denise, thanks so much for this tutorial! I learned a lot last night at the chat!

Here's my LO for your challenge:
http://www.mousescrappers.com/photos...ore-puddle.jpg

I used two of the techniques - I outlined it in white, then on another layer underneath, I filled it with colour.

banderson 04-29-2011 09:24 AM

Here is mine... I used the paint bucket - and now I see what everyone was talking about "missing pixels"! Now I want to try the other ways of coloring these in!!

Hi Denise, I need a little technical assistance. I have PSE7 and installed the action. I scanned a page as a JPG and then tried to run the action. I get an error msg that says The Command "color range" is currently not available. Should I be doing something different here to get the action to work?

poohaddict 04-29-2011 03:16 PM

Here is my LO!! Thanks Denise for the awesome TUT!!! :yeah: This was so fun to do!

Donna, do you want to use this for the Weekly challenge or for this one? They don't actually allow you to double dip.

So Linda, I think it won't work in PSE. I'm so sorry! I thought it would, but I can't get it to work in Elements :(

Jenn1 04-29-2011 10:05 PM

Not sure if I will remember how I did this, but wasn't going to sleep until I did it. I used PSE9. I watched Youtube videos that you suggested. And got it to work. Again.....that was tough :) But fun! :) Time for sleep!:surf:

Where else would I put this page?

Thank you so much, Denise for this AWESOME Tutorial!

I like how you outlined Eeyore in white. I missed that part last night. Very cool!:)

I Love how the coloring looks textured. That is really neat!

Coloring Book Challenge

Just read one of the other posts and thought a suggestion in there might help me. Do the outline first on one layer and the coloring on another. I had a problem with the outline getting lost under the color. This is going to take some more practice but it will be fun to do. Thanks for sharing your techniques with us. Here is the layout:http://www.mousescrappers.com/photos...ey_China_c.jpg
