Weekly Challenge #77 (3/16-3/22)
 

It's that time of year! Spring Cleaning and that's what this challenge is all about :)
I've been cleaning and organizing everything from my basement to work but my biggest project has been cleaning my scrapbooking files and photos on my computer so that I can find what I'm looking for quickly and easily. So this challenge is to make better use of your scrapbooking stuff by getting it organized. Then hopefully, you will be able to find what you want and use multiple different things on a page as opposed to just creating a page from one kit and wishing it had a staple in it or ribbon, etc.

So the challenge is to clean up your scrap stuff a bit so you can make a scrapbook page using items from at least 4 different designers/kits. (No growling or complaining!) It's good to get organized and be able to find that staple when you want it or a certain bling to add to your page!

Remember to follow the regular rules:
1) The page must be Disney related.
2) It must be uploaded to the MouseScrappers Gallery in the Weekly Challenge category.
3) Your layout and a link to it must be posted here in the challenge thread and in the appropriate forum thread. And please be so kind to put a link to your forum thread in your post here!
4) Leave Love for the fellow contestants.

Ooh, interesting challenge! Quick question. Is it 4 different designers AND 4 different kits. Or 4 different designers OR 4 different kits (meaning, you can use 4 different kits, but some or all can be from the same designer.)

I did organize all my scrapbook files last month, so now its pretty easy to find anything I want

We got off on the numbers along the way, I'm not exactly sure when lol. So I am changing this to #77 in the first post and renumbered the list on the sign ups.

Great challenge! Organizing is an on going process! I am fairly organized, but definitely need to tweek some things. I kinda got lazy the past couple months and haven't done the extra stuff. I need to get on that!

I am also not so good at combining kits....so this challenge is for me! Thanks Denise! Also, thanks for the cute PP!

I've been working on organizing my digi files for the last two evenings and am not even close to being finished. Love your challenge, and great PP as always!

It can be 4 different designers or 4 different kits, either way...
No worries! The idea is to just clean up your stuff a bit so you can mix and match and use things perfect for the page as opposed to just using what's in a specific kit. Get more bang for your buck, you know?

Thanks for the great challenge, Denise! I'm still in the process of cleaning my ehd, but you inspired me to work on this LO! I usually use one kit maybe two for a page, so this was really a stretch for me! I like it though.

no layout from me yet, but I got "UnzipThemAll" today and spent over 2 hours unzipping and organizing!! I got through all the Disney stuff and will keep working on the rest of it. Thanks for the motivation... and the suggestion for that program -- not having to click a million times to unzip everything really helps!

Thanks for the prompt, i now have my kits sorted into different themed folders, i did have a page nearly done then for some insane reason clicked to close it without saving:no:, back to square one and try again!

And if anyone is interested, I did an organization tutorial a few months back as well. I do mine pretty much similar to Denise, with a few small differences. But at least it gives you some other ideas.

Dang girl! and I thought I was organized...You rock! I am only organized by supply I don'tthink I could do theme folders now If I wanted too since every thing is already split apart lol.

Love how you've used so many different designers, but the page goes perfectly together! :hooray:

Yes, it's the best! If you don't have UnZipThemAll, you should get!!! I've been using it to unzip multiple files at once for over a year now and I've never had a single problem with it :hooray:

This was a great challenge to make me organize those last few purchases/freebies I've acquired. I try to keep my digi scrapping supplies organized, especially when it's time to do a full backup of the drive (usually right before vacation.) It's when I decide to reorganize that's a problem.

Surprisingly, after I unzip my files I immediatly have a place where everything goes. It's easy too if you go into your scrapbooking folder and type in a search of say... red.. and all things with the word 'red' in the file name will pop up. It's SO much easier =]

OMG....are my eyes tired:) Before doing this layout I followed your spring cleaning ideas. I am new to digi scrapbooking and I had a mess on my EHD!!!:eek: Now I feel like my images, elements, and background papers are only a click away. Thank you for inspiring me to do this Denise! If I didn't do it now in the beginning.....later would have been a disaster!
