Weekly Challenge #188 (6/5 - 6/12)
 

Welcome to this week’s challenge!

First I will start with an apology, I am a lot less prepared for this than I had hoped to be. My grandmother has been rather unwell and that lead to me leaving town in a hurry – without my laptop BUT I got back late last night and I’m ready to go if you guys are!

So this week my theme is Disney Bucket lists! Me and my partner have an extensive Disney bucket list and whilst we have ticked a few things off we still have a LOT to go – (thankfully we have a trip planned in October to tick off more items!) Hopefully if you don’t yet have a Disney bucket list – this may get you thinking of one. This Pinterest board may help you get some inspiration.

Now to the challenge:
You do not have to make your page a list of Disney dreams (but by all means you can), you may choose to make a page inspired by one of the graphics on the board (you must tell us which one and say how it inspired you). You may choose to make a page based on something you and your family have ticked off your bucket list. This challenge is totally open to your interpretation of your Disney bucket list – it doesn’t even have to be park based, you may have always wanted to throw a Disney themed party for your children... Use your imagination, just be sure to tell us your Disney Dream and whether you are still dreaming or if you have accomplished it!!

The prize:
Everyone who completes a page by next Wednesday night – the 12th (I live in the UK so won’t be checking the thread until Thursday morning) will receive this mini kit. It's the first kit I've ever created and I've had such fun with it so I KNOW I'll be adding to it before I send it out to you! Therefore this is more of a teaser ;)

ANND since I am unprepared and it’s my birthday this week I will give an extra prize of a $5 gift certificate to the store of your choice for one participant. Like Andrea I will have my partner will pick his favourite layout at the end of the week.

Great challenge! As I have been trying to organize all my files, I think I "found" the perfect template in my stash.... Now, if I can only remember where I filed it to... :blush:

Great Challenge. I just made a layout for the latest "template" challenge based on my biggest bucket list thing to do. But I've got this great idea up in my head. Now if I can get it to paper, well I guess that would be computer screen, I'm all set. Thanks.

Sitting at home sick from work does have its advantages... I can scrap while I lay here...

I've updated the first thread with the PP

I'll be creating my layout with it tomorrow and as it says in the first post I will likely be adding to the kit I just wanted to give you guys an idea of what you were working towards!

This is actually a title page redo. I made one a month or two ago and when I went back and looked I really didn't like it. So here's my new one, inspired by one of our top 3 bucket list items as a family:
Take one more trip to Disneyland as a whole family (check!)
and
Take a family road trip (coming up next month!)
and
Take one more trip to Disney World as a whole family (hoping and saving for this one)

We're getting a little short on time, as our oldest is just finishing his sophomore year of high school, but we got Disneyland checked off the list last December. Wahoo!

This one was inspired by another page using a similar castle design. I don't remember who it was, but she used a template. I created my own (gotta save those extra $'s for our next trip!).

On my bucket list was to run a Walt Disney World Half Marathon! I did that in February and will be signing up for my second TODAY! Thanks for the inspiration!

I went more the wish list route with my page. All are very attainable if I wasn't so cheap. I talk myself out of 3 of them every time and the other two I just need to be more persistent to make them happen.

This is an awesome PP and I can't wait to use the Animation themed items for a layout.

Thanks Melissa for sharing your first kit as the pp! It is wonderful! Thanks for the fun challenge. When we made our first Disneyland trip in 2010, one thing on our bucket list was to make sure our son got to try the Mickey Waffles. He thought they were the best thing ever! Since then, we have had a daughter, and been back twice. The kids got to have Mickey waffles twice on the last trip in April...lol. It is now a "must do."

It has always been a dream to go to Disney at Christmas and we did it! We loved it so much we went back 2 years later without the kids! :) A differnent kind of magical experience. Thanks for the challenge & cute pp!

We are DVC members so we go to Disney often. We don't always have enough points so sometimes we say at other resorts. My kids had a goal of staying at every moderate and deluxe resort. This past February we stayed at Coronado Springs, the last resort to make their goal!

Inaugural Tinker Bell Half Marathon
 

One of the items on my bucket list was to run through all of the Disney parks. Doing the Inaugural Tinker Bell got me running through Disneyland and California Adventure.

Higgidus Figgidus! - Conjure a Villain
 

My daughter REALLY wanted to be chosen by a cast member to be the
spell-caster at Disneyland Halloween Faire's 'Conjure a Villain' tent this past Halloween. We stood in line 5 different times on our first visit during the season, and she wasn't chosen, we also got Cruella Deville 4 of the 5 times. The 4th time - though she wasn't chosen for the Spell-Caster roll - she did get a different villain - Captain Hook! She LOVES him - so she was VERY excited!

SO......We went back over the weekend with Daddy! This time - we were the first in line for the first conjuring of the day. And guess what??? They chose her to be the spell-caster! She was BEYOND excited!!!

She chose her wand, and conjured...... Cruella Deville!!!! Figured!
She didn't care - she was SUPER happy to have been chosen and Cruella even remembered her from earlier in the week! She commented on the better choice of shirts (the other one had been very nice - with Minnie Mouse on it (I think) the one she wore this day had Jack Skelington on it!

It was truly, a Disney Dream come true!!!

These other layouts and pages are so fun! I've been needing to work on my scrapbook pages, and this challenge really gave me a boost to get it done! The number one thing on our daughter's bucket list when we went to WDW was to meet Dopey, her imaginary friend. With the help of some amazing cast members, that dream was realized and we had an amazing experience.

My Grandson's 2nd Birthday is in Oct. and his Daddy and Mommy are taking him to Disneyland. Gio's Favorite thing is TRAINS. Since I'm having a hard time staying well; My Bucket List is to work on staying well so that I can go with him to Disneyland and take lots of Photos of him riding his favorite Mickey Mouse Train. I can't wait to see his eyes light up~What a site that will be. I hope you enjoy my page. Oh! Yes! Want to share with you that I learned something new here. I just found in PS that I can actually put patterns and things in the Stroke. I thought you could just chose a different color. Boy did I have FUN pushing on all the Glitters and things. I'm going to use that a lot~LOL. God Bless You All.

We actually have an extensive Disney bucket list but I chose this one. We had been to WDW during SWW but never really had time to experience the event so we planned a trip and spent the whole weekend only at DHS. We had horrible weather but still had fun!

Silhouette Studio
 

I have often wanted to get a silhouette made at the Silhouette Studio on Main Street. Each trip I’d find one excuse or another not to do so; either the price was too high or the line was too long. On this trip I promised myself that we were going to make it happen! I was so excited to finally fulfill a dream from my Disney Bucket List! :hooray:

Fun challenge! On the Pinterest link was a bucket list about going on a Disney Cruise. We were able to take a Disney Cruise in October. It was fabulous! Sooo on my bucket list to go again!
