Trying a 'free' Chat room - can you test this?
Hey everyone - In an effort to not crash the server or get the site suspended, I looked a little into chat rooms. I can't host a chat room on MouseScrappers because I hear it actually takes a ton of bandwidth. So I noticed a link at the bottom of the SM chat room to a service. There are several levels, I want to try the 'free' service first.
Can you guys try this out and see if you like it? I didn't put a password in on the login screen... just my MS username. I'm not sure how soon we will hit limitations on this free one. The next step up is $80/year. Link: http://client14.addonchat.com/chat.php?id=474111 Let me know what you guys think. Thanks, Carol

Pretty neat ... maybe we can get a group chat on later tonight and really give it a spin.

I had to install Java, which was a surprise, but it worked fine after that.
I didn't talk to anyone since there wasn't anyone in there, but it looked like your standard chatroom to me. |

I believe that this is the same chat room we use at ScrapMatters. If so, it's good one.

It is the same provider... but I don't know if SM has paid to have more features/capacity.

I tried it and it seems to work just fine for me. Thanks for sorting this out Carol so we can keep the speed scraps going.

Glad to see this works Carol!! Wish I could've stayed longer but a few late nights and early mornings have done me in.

I'm hoping this will work out. We tried it out this evening - I think 5 of us were on there at one time and it was all smooth.
I hope you'll try this during the speed scrap(s) so we don't upset my web hosting company.
