Do You Love Your Point and Shoot Camera? Which one?

My head is spinning from looking at various camera reviews so I thought I'd ask for your opinions. Do you love your point and shoot camera? If so, can I ask which one?

I have a DSLR (although I have to admit, I'm FAR from being a pro with it), but want something that I can carry with me when the I don't want to deal with the bulkiness. I've been primarily looking at Canons, but I'm open for suggestions.

Thanks so much!

Smile I love my point and shoot canon!

I have the Canon SD880i digital elph (it is a couple of years old so I am sure they have newer models now) and I absolutely love it!!! My husband shoots with a DSLR from Canon (photography is one of his hobbies) and even he has been impressed with the quality that this camera provides. It is a great size, easy to use, and produces really great pictures. Good luck with your search!

Can I ask what your Canon is like in low light such as indoors in restaurants and taking night shots _ I know they are never going to give pro quality but are they accpetable. My current camera blurs and grains really badly in low light.

I have a Canon Powershot SD780IS

I love it! I use my DSLR a lot, but we definitely use this little guy a lot too. It shoots HD video, so we use it as our video camera as well!!

As far as how it does in low light - you'll need to use the flash. Mostly. But it does a great job! I've been VERY happy with it.

It's tiny and SUPER light!

Thanks very much for the info! According to Amazon, the SD780IS is a newer version of the SD880 so based on the feedback here and lots of positive reviews on other sites, that's what I went with. Now I can't wait to try it out!

Thanks again
