Affordable camera recommendation?
Hi. I have just decided that I'd like to get a new camera. It seems like many of you have fancy expensive cameras. I want something affordable (preferably under $100 or close to it preferably), and on the small side. It doesn't have to be tiny but I'd like to be able to easily slip it in my purse or a big pocket like in cargo pants. I want to start taking more every day time pictures so I want to always have my camera on me. I'd like something that takes nice clear photos with brilliant colors. I'd also like to be able to zoom in (I know any camera with great zoom is out of my price range), take night photos, and if possible have a fireworks setting. I know I'm asking for a lot with a very low price tag. I know nothing about cameras so any suggestions would be welcome! Thank you all so much!

I have had two Fujifilm cameras, one small point and shoot and one larger one with a big zoom.
My mother has had some Kodak but had trouble with the batteries when it was stored for a while. (I Keep telling her take the batteries out when she is not using it). I also liked my HP. Best Buy and Walmart should be putting some on clearance soon because they get new supply right before tax time. |

I have a Canon Powershot Elph point and shoot that I have been extremely pleased with. It is a little above the $100 mark you mentioned but as April said, perhaps you can find a deal on last year's model when they are making room for the new ones.
It does not take great night shots but that may have improved in the newer models (mine is several years old). Other than that I really have not had any complaints. It is almost always in my purse and can easily fit in a pocket if you wanted/needed. Good luck with your hunt and happy shopping!
