My layout
I posted this in the main entrance forum as well.
http://www.mousescrappers.com/forums...9217#post39217 Here's my layout. I found a bunch of pictures that my mom had packed away. We took trips every year to Disney World and always took our family picture in the main entrance. This was our last family trip. But I'm blessed that my parent's are able to get along well now and still get to go to Disney World with both parent's. My dad lives in Florida and meets us for dinner one night while we're there. Thank you for the challenge. I'm eventually going to get all of the old pictures scrapped. |

Thanks Denise for the challenge...Now all I have to do is figure out what favorite memory of Disney I want to scrap...We go to WDW every year, and our first trip was back in 1973 when my DD was 3 & my DS just turned 1... Also, I love the PP for this challenge...

It took me all day yesterday to get all the pics on the page and write the story but I did it!
I am not sure if I overdid the pixie dust? I think I need a few opinions on that one. Thank you for a great challenge and an amazing PP I am so excited to have finished this LO! I agree with Linda we all need tissues next to our computers this week! The story's have been wonderful - thank you everyone for sharing. Journal Text is under the LO for easier reading Journal Reads: As soon as Alex saw Silvermist coming over she ran right up to her, but she was too excited to even take her hand much less really enjoy any time with her. She kept pointing out Tinkerbell, she was in constant motion, she could not relax enough to even take a picture. Mommy had to bring her back to Silvermist to finally get her picture taken. Then Tink came over and took her by the hand to the middle of the room. After one quick hug she spotted Fawn and the excited energy took over again. Alex had to make sure Tink realized Fawn was there by pointing her out. Then Tink surprised us by calling Fawn over, they all sat down and played a game of “peek-a-boo.” After a minute Alex remembered Silvermist was there too, so she had to inform Tink her other friend was in the room. Tink really surprised us this time by taking Alex by the hand through the crowd that was forming, watching this little show, back to Silvermist to take more pictures! Once they came back we finally got a picture of the two “Tinks,” then Fawn called her over to show Alex her tea cup. While exploring the cup Tink decided to surprise her with a little game of “Guess Who.” After a minute Fawn pointed out her spool of thread and these fast friends were off to play. They found Mickey shaped pixie dust! Tink even had to come over to have a look at this oddity. Alex was having so much fun she did not want to stop for pictures instead she wanted to see in the Tea cup again. Eventually Fawn asked her for a hug, and surprise, There was Tink calling her name from behind the camera! WOW, Alex gave us one of her best smiles of the whole trip!! After another hug and much waiving and kiss blowing we eventually brought this amazing pixie play date to a close. Once outside other guests were asking for my email so they could send me the pictures they had been taking of Alex. They had loved watching her interact with the fairies and had to take some pictures for themselves. Alex must have spent almost 20 minutes playing and enjoying her time in Pixie Hollow. The fairies were amazing with her, initiating her exploration and never leaving her side! They were the ones who kept the play date going and were just as sad to see it end. This is one line where we will never complain about the wait. The attention they gave Alex made her whole trip, she was still talking about it days later! They gave her the time to get past her initial shock and excitement at seeing them and allowed her the chance to actually enjoy their company. The fairies permanently endeared themselves to our family and gave us one of our favorite Disney memories! I think your layout is perfect and the pixie dust is just right. I'm not able to comment on any of the layouts in the gallery It will start to log in, saying logging in as amyjo76 but then it gets to the gallery and I'm not logged in. It started doing it yesterday and I thought it would be better today but it's not. Anyone know what I should do?
