1971 - Walt Disney World opens (consisting of Magic Kingdom and 2 resorts) 1982 - EPCOT opens 1983 - Horizons opens 1988 - Caribbean Beach Resort opens 1992 - Splash Mountain opens in Tokyo Disneyland 1994 - The name Euro Disneyland is officially changed to Disneyland Paris 1995 - Vero Beach Resort opens 1996 - Boardwalk opens 1999 - Statue of Roy O.
