===>> Here for SS#8 <<===
Hi everyone, we'll be starting the next speed scrap in about 45 minutes. I am shaking I'm so nervous!!
I hope you'll bear with me as I haven't done this before. I think I may have complicated the instructions. So to give you a little hint, look for 2 (max 3) photos with one key color you want to highlight. Please remember to use our chat room!! http://client14.addonchat.com/chat.php?id=474111 Oh and turn off the email notification for this thread (the first time you post in this thread, select "No email notification"). I'm hoping this will save the server a little and not flood your inbox. For those that participate, here is what I will give you: Okay here is step 1: 1. select two or three photos a. Look at your photos... select ONE color to highlight (perhaps the most vibrant, or the color of the most 'important' item in the photo). If you can, get the hexadecimal color code I'll refer to this as the 'primary' color. PSE tip: to get the hexadecimal color code, use the eyedropper tool. See help here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Photosho...23F39_WIN.html b. Go to http://www.colorschemedesigner.com/ and select the "complementary" color palette (click on the "complement" link on the upper left) 2. Prepare your background canvas with three layers: all should be square. Layer 1 and 3 should be white (either paint or paper). Layer 2 should be your primary color - use paint or a paper that is VERY CLOSE to your primary color. Stitch your layers together (straight stitch, zig zag, etc). 3.Select up to three 'grungy' elements from your files (paint splatters, ink spots, etc) and color them the complementary color. Stamp them on layer 3 (covering only about 1/3 of the space) (layer 3 is your top layer so far) 4. Now you can place your photos on the page. Make one photo larger than the other. Give each a white border (you can do this by drawing a white rectangle slightly larger than your photo, then moving it behind your photo). Be sure to add shadows to your photos! 5. Create a title and color it your complementary color. 6. Two required elements: #1: Tuck a ribbon under your photos - the dominant color of your ribbon should be your primary #2: put a LARGE circular object under your photos - it should be very opaque or clear - just very little color. Don't shadow this circular object. 7. Finish work: Add more elements to decorate your page. All elements should be a shade on your color palette - most of them should be of the complimentary color (or neutral). Maybe add one primary color element for some pop; add shadows and a date - journaling is optional.
