Malware Warning
As of this morning, I'm getting a malware warning when I come to this site. It says this site "contains content from fapro.ru, a site known to distribute malware" I clicked through anyway, but I'm a little nervous. Does anyone know what's going on?

I have my browser set to clear my cache, etc every time I close the browser, so it was clean when I was getting the message. I'm just now coming back to the site and I closed my browser between then and now, and I'm no longer getting the message, so whatever it was it's resolved now. Thanks!

I'm not sure why that Chrome warning has come up for a few people within the last week. It seems to be very intermittent and it doesn't seem to show for everyone (I, for example, cannot seem to reproduce it no matter what I try). The only common thread is that each person who has encountered this message has told me of a different linked site (when they click the 'safe browsing' link for more information). All sites they've mentioned, however, end in the the characters ".ru" (which refers to Russia). I haven't been able to find anything on MS that points to .ru so I'm a little bewildered.
I had my webhost run a malware scan and here is their response: Our malware scanner did not find anything in your public_html directory. I've also tried to search other blacklists with your domain and similar domains (mousescapers.com) for example. If you can find out a URL that is reporting an issue, we can look into it further, but so far there is no sign of anything wrong. To see MouseScrappers 'health check', so to speak, on Google's site please see http://google.com/safebrowsing/diagn...escrappers.com I'm still keeping an eye on things, but I want to assure you that MS is not hosting any malware (as you can see from the above Google link). If anyone encounters this message, it would be helpful if you try the various parts of the website (store, forums, blog, gallery) and clear your cache in between each part - then let me know if you see the error for each part or just one (I need help isolating where people see this error). Feel free to PM me the details or click the 'Send Message' link on our Facebook page. Thanks!

I was using Chrome and I know it showed up when I first came to the home page. After that it seemed to come up whereever I went, but I wasn't clearing my cache between. It's still fine now and I NEVER thought the site was hosting malware, but I've had other forums where the ads had been hacked and malware was added to them and that was triggering a warning. I thought that might have been the case, but I'm glad to know that everything is fine. Chrome has certainly done other quirky things, so it wouldn't surprise me that it was just some bug.

As crazy as this may sound Ive been having the same message each other day, and as you said Carol each time pointing to a different site, most of them were .ru but the last one was different, just dont remember. So Im clearing the cache each time, I ve done this about 4 times so far. Oh and as I told you Carol, always the same for the forum, shop, blog and gallery.
I have no idea why this is happening, since your host already scanned it, do you need some extra info for him?. Is someone having the same problem as me? BTW I use Chrome.

I have been having the same problem!
In one of the messages at the bottom it had a message with something like:" If you are the Owner of this site please contact Google" something like that, I cannot remember exactly. what I did was switch browers, Safari, Firefox had no problem with the site. Right now I am using Chrome and it is working good but It does not hold my Log in the site, I have to be re-login even if I switch from the Forum to the store and so on. |

I still haven't been able to reproduce this error so it's been hard trying to troubleshoot.
Can you please each tell me what version of Chrome you are using (and for what operating system)? Thanks
