2015 Marathon - Game #3
It is time for Game #3. In this thread I want you to brag on yourself. I want us all to share in your accomplishments.
I often find during the marathons that I very pleased with myself for one reason or another and often times my DH just doesn't understand it. I need someone who is a scrapper to understand my joy. So... I want to share in that happiness with you. For me, I am often pleased with a specific something during the event. For example.. I am pleased with the end result of a LO... or pleased that I was inspired to use a certain kit... or pleased that I was able to use certain photos... or pleased that I stepped outside my personal comfort zone and did something different... You get the idea. Please use this thread to share with us a couple of your OWN LO's that really make you smile AND tell us why. If you need help in getting started... answer this question.. I am proud of myself because I (fill in the blank)... created, tried, made, accomplished... Only uplifting things in this thread, please. I want you to brag on yourself. As a prize, I will select two lucky random posters to win a signature pin from the MouseScrappers virtual pin shoppe.

I am proud of myself because this is my first marathon and I completed 10 out of 15 speed scraps and I used 5 different scrapbbok kits for the first time. Forgot to mention I did this with fever 100-100.7 on and off Friday thru Sunday...was planning to complete 3 more layouts on Monday morning before each SS respective deadline, but when I called the doctor's office as soon as I woke up, the agreed to squeeze me to see me even though they were really busy.
Below are some of my favorite layouts I did: SS #183: I love the colors, the happy memories and the fact I finally used a kit I had never used before. SS #182: I like the pictures and I find cute the story associated with it. SS #178: I had been wanting to do a hats layouts for some time already and finally did. Also, I used another kit for the first time. Last edited by MsCarolina; 03-25-2015 at 04:09 AM. |

OK....I am proud of myself because this is the first SS marathon in which I completed all the challenges. While I drove my fiance batty, he pushed me with the 3 SSs I'd procrastinated on b/c I had no idea what I was going to do and didn't think I'd get all 15 done.
I like this one I did for 189...there is no journaling (I HATE journaling), and I didn't use flowers! LoL. Plus I went through folders on my laptop and found that firework element hiding in a kit I have NEVER used and forgot I had. One of my other favorites is this one...I just like my phrase "We're seizing the future" (from the alien encounter thing), and my clustering! Lastly, there's this LO that probably had me stressing the most...but after spending at least an hour going through folders, some how I hodgepodged all those papers, and it turned out looking better than I had planned! And I love how the blocks stand out against the monotones! -Lori |

I'm proud that I did my first SS where I completed all 15 challenges and I completed each assignment without leaving anything out (at least I think I did). Last year I did a few layouts but didn't even bother putting them on the master thread since I had just started learning about digital scrapbooking a few months before it started. Mostly I have spent the last year collecting kits from my favorite designers and trying to figure out how the forum works and how to download correctly (I still have a hard time with that)!
This was one of my favorite layouts, I just loved the colors! I mixed Natalie's Wood Sprite kit together with Kellybell's Expedition kit, they worked so well together! Another one that I loved was because I got to use one of the kits by Natalie (Natalie's Place Designs - Magic Carpet Ride) the colors are so beautiful! And the last layout that I liked was one that I used Natalie's - Tale as Old as Time and Mad for the Mouse - Be Our Guest kits together! I probably spent the most time on this one. What made me feel the most proud, was when my husband who knows how hard I have worked to figure out how to digital scrapbook, came in Sunday night and asked to see what I had been working on all weekend. After showing him my layouts, he said "Wow your pages look great!" That made my day! Last edited by shaines; 03-25-2015 at 09:06 AM. |

I am proud of myself for finishing the WHOLE marathon! And I'm happy with all the pages I completed! My goal for this year is to finish my 2012 Disney trip, and have it scrapped and printed before our trip next summer! I'm amazed at all the folders from that trip that now have the word "done" next to the title! Yes, I still have more layouts to scrap....but the end is just starting to get in site!
I had so much fun this weekend, it was great to just scrap and enjoy scrapping these pages for my family! This is my favorite page I scrapped this weekend: And this one is a close 2nd! this kit was actually recommended during one of the chats, when I asked a question about scrapping Kali River Rapids photos! So thankful to Andrea for pointing me in this direction!

So the biggest thing is that I was able to use photos from my June 2014 trip for almost all of the challenges!!! Which means I have 15 more layouts done!!!!
But I am also proud of myself for making a "matching" 2 page spread which I haven't done in a really long time. |

I'm most proud of my LO for SS 192. I loved the pictures and getting to use that kit again I also tried a new photo treatment plugin that I'd never tried and didn't know that I had that altered the main photo to match the pink.
My second favorite would be for SS 187. I bought the kit a long time ago and wanted to use it. I love the pictures and the cluster I made by myself
