Saving to web size question
I noticed my pages are posting really small. What have others found to be the optimal ratio when saving to web? Would love some helpful hints from you marvelous scrapers.

This may or may not be the best way to do it, but I struggled with getting the image small enough to upload. I save from Photoshop as JPG and then double click to open and snip using Windows 7 Snipping Tool. This saves small enough.

What I do is (photoshop): save for web, then change the picture size to 600 x 600, then at the top select high and then save.
600 x 600 pixels is the most used size. |

Thanks for the tips. I think it's my resolution setting I need to change. I will give it a try. My computer got all messed up and none of my settings got set right on the reinstall.

This is what I do to save for web:
If you're using Photoshop Elements, this action is the quickest, easiest way to save for web (and it's only $1 through the 25th...SO worth it!!): http://www.scraps-n-pieces.com/store...oducts_id=4339 Once you run the action, then click -->File -->Save for web. You'll get a pop up box. In the upper right corner are 3 lines. Click there -->Optimize File Size Then you'll get another pop up box. I usually put 247k in there so it's always set & ready to save. Hope this helps!

Tonight is/was the last night of the Marathon! AND.....I can't believe it, but...
I finished the whole thing! Whew! That was a lot of pages, and It's almost scary seeing all my folders having the words "done" next to them! But, I'm so much closer to getting this album finished before our trip next summer!!!! Now, to spend some time with my neglected family! I think they deserve it (and so do I!)

I REALLY was hoping to finish, but my neck and back were really hurting me today, and I couldn't get started again until late. And it's starting to bother me again (ugh, I need a laptop!), so I think I'm going to have to stop with the 10k (which, in running, is actually my favorite distance lol!) I am REALLY happy with what I got done, though! I think I scrapped more from my most current trip than from the last 2 years worth of trips combined. And 10 layouts in 3 days (plus 2 the week before for something else) is unheard of from me in the last few years. Yay, thanks everyone involved for helping me get back to scrapping.

So Sad
This will be the first year, I don't finish the marathon, but I am calling it. Computer problems put me far behind and I just couldn't get caught up. Next year will be a new day. However, 12 pages is the total number of pages I've done this whole year, so i feel that was a victory!
Congrats to all of you who made it! |

I think 12 pages is great, and I hope you continue on that roll for the rest of the year!!!
