2016 Marathon - Game #2
 

Now that all the Speed Scraps have been posted, are you ready for another game? :) This will be a mini makeover!

Speed Scraps are a ton of fun, but sometimes you just run out of time to get your layout just right. Maybe you didn't get a chance to edit your picture. Maybe the SS instruction said no journaling, but you ALWAYS journal. Maybe you had to use a staple, but you didn't really know where to use it, so you aren't happy where it is.

I don't want you to change your layout so much that it looks completely different. But if there's something you wanted to change, now's your chance!

Post your original layout AND your new layout in this thread by Saturday, April 9, noon ET. Yes I'm giving you almost a week, since I know after the excitement of the weekend, you might want to take a break from the computer. ;)

Here's the LO I chose. The instructions asked for 3 word art strips, and while I love them, I just didn't think they fit the look I wanted on the LO. I spent forever moving them all over lol and this is the original LO

Here's my redo, Im trying to put the most pics on a LO so added one more instead of some square papers. And added kinda title for the bottom part as it had no sense, at least for me, having two different themes and just one title.

Here is mine. I took off the date (which I realized after I'd originally posted was incorrect) and the staples. I also adjusted the b&w photo contrast and brightness. Thanks!

Here's my re-do for speed scrap #205.
I changed the papers for the mats and I deleted the heart with date and changed that with a few other elements.

My redo - I enlarged the photo to spread across the page vertically and put the title on the page rather than below and added layer under the photo instead of matting and added stitches.

I LOVED this page - but it occurred to me that when and if I ever print it - it will feel too"big" so I decided to redo it by making the photo smaller and adding more embellishments to make sure the page still feels !!!

I always go in and "fix" my layouts from these super scrap weekends--some more than others. I mean we're under the wire, exhausted, and you just see stuff after you post your layout in the gallery that just looks yucky.

I had major computer issues during my Club Cool layout, which was driving me nuts.

I made changes to the papers on my layout. Made them smaller and lined them up.

I was disappointed in my layout for SS 209.

The photo I had just didn't work in a circle mat so I reset the color to original and I adjusted and added to the clusters and the title.

2016 Speed Scrap Marathon - Game #2 - Redo
 

I had several to choose from! ;)

I redid the layout from SS #209. I did not like the photo effect. I need to learn some tricks! So, I reverted to the original picture. I also did not like the font that I chose to go with the title, so I just took out the font. My title didn't line up correctly, so I adjusted it.

When I posted it I thought the proportions were a bit off and the pic needed to be bigger to balance out the big title and cluster. So I made the pic bigger. I also wanted to add a scatter during the speed scrap but couldn't find just the right one in a hurry so I added it in. Wasn't sure I liked the journaling so I took that out.

I love big, bold titles, so having to pick one word was a challenge for me! Then I had a hard time finding something to change one of the letters to....it just felt like it wasn't working for me! I also tried to brighten up a couple of the photos - and fixed the tile on the popcorn wagon. It feels more "me" now. :D
