New Star Tours
Hey everyone! I have a friend that works at Disneyland. Every time i see him i make him give me new "info" on anything Disney. I totally forgot that the D23 convention was this past weekend! He went so i made him give me some news on what happened. Here is the one thing i was most excited about!!! New Star Tours!! Finally! I had heard they were possibly going to be doing this, but an announcement at D23 just confirms it =)
Check out the video from the convention http://www.youtube.com/user/disneylandnews |
Re: New Star Tours
I'm sure it is going to be awesome. I wish they told just a tiny bit more about the "never done before" stuff. LOL I understand their reasons for the secrecy though. Can't wait!

Re: New Star Tours
I am sooooo so so so excited about this!! I LOVE the ride, but it does need an update. I will be sad if we lose Rex though. His voice, done by Paul Ruebens is too classic to change!!

sounds great, another reason to go back in 2012!

There is speculation that the current version (to the moon of Endor) will close at WDW on September 8th. No word about Disneyland's attraction

Flights to Endor will cease on September 8th at WDW, and on July 27th at Disneyland. The new 3-D 'reimagined' Star Tours won't open until sometime in 2011.
In combination with Star Wars Celebration V (Lucasfilm fan convention being held at the Orange County convention Center Aug 11-15), there will be a 'Last Tour to Endor' party at DHS on Aug 14th from 8:00 p.m.– 1:00 a.m. According to the Disney Parks Blog, the “Last Tour to Endor” party "will feature intergalactic party zones, Star Wars shows, a “Death Star Disco” and a Star Wars-themed fireworks spectacular. Star Wars fans of all ages will have the chance to experience the power of the Force and the magic of Disney combining for one special night. And it’s all designed for guests attending Star Wars Celebration V". It sounds like lots of fun for true Star Wars fans. But, it's considered a 'special event', and tickets for this event will set you back $75. :jedi1: http://parksandresorts.wdpromedia.co...04354SMALL.jpg |
